Ruru Time!

Having spent most of the previous winter making little mosaic ruru - it was a lovely surprise to come across a little ruru on the Food Forest walk. We were on a family walk with our very newly married son and his wife - the newest Mr and Mrs Butterfield- when we surprised a little ruru- probably from a sound sleep. He flew off and landed about 3 metres away and just sat there and watched us. Magic!
