How to Start A Food Forest Workshop June 2025 Went Really Well!

Happy to say that the June 2025 "How to Start a Food Forest" Workshop went really well!
Lisa and Janet were our attendees and we had a couple of days of all things Food Foresty! I think both Lisa and Janet went away with lots of ideas and inspiration for the next steps for their own pieces of paradise.
And of course, like always happens, when you share ideas and thoughts with others you learn heaps from them as well. Amongst other things, the idea of "heritage" as it applies to land were discussed- the land we work on has sure seen many changes since the first people arrived in NZ. It's an interesting point- preserving and treasuring at least some of the work that has been undertaken by previous generations.
Poppy the dog disgraced herself however. On both days she must have sensed that mum was distracted and went outside to get completely covered in mud- and this was after we had made our claims that Poppy was the sane one who would much prefer to live in town!
Ah well! Between her and Trevor throwing pine cones and sticks around, they both provided plenty of entertainment!
We also planted a new little segment of Food Forest with the Blackboy Peach Tree as the hero!
All steam ahead now- next "How to Start a Food Forest" Workshop will be held end August. Details to come in next day or so.
