Damson Plum Time!
This young Damson Plum tree is laden with plums!
It's only been planted for the past three years and every year it produces amazingly.
The thing about damsons is that they stay on the tree for ages- they look ripe, but you leave them on- and then when you see the birds starting to have a go you step in and do your harvest.
So in the past I've made whole bottled damsons (yummy) and damson plum jam (yummy as well!). Not sure what I'll make this year..luckily I've got a few weeks to think about it!
