Living Willow Maze
Living willow maze located in the original 23-year-old Tinui Food Forest.
Planted originally because it was too wet for any trees to grow in the area.
We had a school group of 10 very cute 5 year olds go through the Food Forest last week. I did the safety briefing thing before they went in the maze - told them no running and no climbing or crawling through the maze walls (so that they didnt hurt themselves). And while waiting outside the maze for them to complete it- could hear the teachers reiterating the rules loudly! Did it make a difference? No way. Those kids were running and crawling and jumping their way all through the maze- they couldnt stop themselves!
No harm done! Kids and mazes just seem to go together in a really crazy fun way! Hilarious! Its the adults who have the issues! Quite a few are too nervy to go anywhere near it!
